Today was Wabash’s annual Oktoberfest, sponsored by the German Club, WAR Council, and the Sphinx Club. Oktoberfest has been going in for the last five years, so it’s an official Wabash tradition.

As my friend, Patrick Stroud ’15, stated: Oktoberfest is expanding every year, and that’s great. Every year the Glee Club performs, and we sing some of our repertoire, including traditional German pieces (Du du liegst mir im Herzen) and drinking songs (The Drinking Song). Alcohol is provided at a beer garden (21 and older, of course), and food (bratwurst) is provided by The Sphinx Club.

The crowd gathering around the food.

It’s all free, and I suggest coming next year if you have the time.
