This first week of classes has been quite eventful to say the least. On Sunday, Logan Rice ‘13 brought me to Carmel, Indiana, to see Mummenschanz, a traveling group of mimes who have visited the world around to perform some of the oddest things you will ever see in your life. Inflated heads, huge balls with human-like movements and contortions, it was definitely an unforgettable sight to behold. That was my first time at a really nice theater, and I felt very “cultured” and sophisticated while I was sitting there. It was nothing short of amazing!
In other news, my swimming is starting to see some signs of rest for what has seemed like an eternity. Practices will gradually see a decline in yardage as the team heads into the NCAC conference meet.

Matt Ryan from the Falcons being a boss
Tonight, I had the pleasure of going to the Leadership Summit, featuring new President of the Student Body, Jeremy Wentzel, Vice President Seton Goddard, and the mayor of Crawfordsville, Mayor Todd Brown. This meeting was a requirement to obtain funding for clubs, and Seton and Jeremy did an awesome job conducting the meeting and letting us know about the new ideas put in place about the budgeting and utilizing tools on campus for clubs. As a person new to starting a club, this was a much needed experience for me, and it was extremely helpful.
Also, I don’t want to jinx the Falcons, but could they be Super Bowl bound? It’s wild to see them in the picture, but I am rooting for them to beat the 49ers on Sunday. It should be fun to watch!
