It is quite amazing how warm it is this time of year. I cannot even contrast this with Georgia weather, because it is probably around the same temperature right now! The stars are up on the Chapel, too! Is it too early to have these up? It is quite hot here (knock on wood), and it definitely does not feel like the end of the fall.
Dead week has finally arrived. This is the week where papers and test are finished up before Final Exam Week. It is usually a time of great anxiety and desperation among students. For me, however, this last half of the semester has been pretty light compared to most semesters, especially with my workload comprising fewer classes than normal. However, I still have to work hard in this home stretch to keep my grades where I need them.
I have got to close with that SEC championship game. Holy cow! What a game. That had to be one of the best games I have ever seen in my lifetime. I wish I had been there. Georgia put up an amazing fight throughout and made an incredible run at the end to almost beat Alabama. Even though the Bulldogs lost, as a fan, I view it as a victory and a reason to keep the head high. In any case, Alabama will be going to the national championship game against the undefeated Notre Dame. This should be a good one as well.
I also want to congratulate our swim team for taking it to the house at Calvin College. Way to go guys!
