Mike Reidy H’04 selected to city council

Mike Reidy, Honorary Alumnus 2004, retired from Wabash in 2010 after 32 years as Associate Director of Admissions.  Last week, the Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee selected Mike to replace a Crawfordsville city council seat which was vacated by a recent resignation.

In a Journal Review article announcing his selection, Mike commented that his experience recruiting prospective students is one which has probably prepared him for his work on the city council:  “He has also been a recruiter at Wabash College for 32 years, a position he believes has prepared him for anything.  “My job consists of convincing a bunch of 17 and 18-year-old guys that they wanted to go to a school without any girls,” Reidy said. “And I think I was pretty convincing.”

Congratulations Mike!
